“Six months after my hair transplant, I followed my URoots medicine regimen, given by QHT Clinic doctors. My results speak for themselves, and now I get all the hair care from URoots” - Sonu Kumar, Verified customer review.
Post-transplant care is a very important part of successful hair growth and maintaining long-term results. The transplanted hair is harvested from a DHT-resistant donor area, which means they are not affected by follicular miniaturisation, a characteristic of androgenetic alopecia. However, the natural hair remains vulnerable to this genetic hair fall. This is where post-transplant prescription from URoots plays a role in preserving natural hair. Preservation of natural hair. Three weeks after a transplant, the new hair falls out. That is the point at which our inbox fills up, and the question is rarely about the surgery. It is about the bottles: do these do anything, or am I paying for a routine that changes nothing?
Six months is when a clearer picture begins to emerge. Below is Sonu's timeline set against what published evidence says should happen at each stage, with commentary from the QHT doctors who formulate URoots.
If nobody has told you which stage of hair loss you are at, settle that first. A structured 2-minute URoots hair test takes a few minutes.
What do URoots results look like at 6 months?
For the first 3 months, there may be little visible growth, but a period of excessive shedding can make it feel like something is not right. Most patients believe that the treatment has failed. But it’s not the case. The first six months can be a quiet period, with little visible change during the first 8 weeks; the hair regrowth becomes noticeable by month 3, with more visible density by month 6. That is a natural timeline for transplanted hair to grow, but the remaining hair is maintained with a routine, not the product.
Weeks 2 to 8: shedding of transplanted and sometimes native hair. Expected, not a failure
Month 3: hair fall slows, regrowth begins in the treated area
Month 4: topical minoxidil reaches its maximum measured effect and prevents hair fall of native hair
Month 6: density visible in daylight, styling possible again
Month 12: final growth after a transplant is judged here
Where This Hair Regrowth Story in India Rarely Begins
Read the reviews on our site and a pattern shows up that has nothing to do with any single product.
Different men, different stages, one shared sentence: they followed the routine. The men who describe their density in those terms at follow-up are the men who never stopped applying the topical treatments. Consistency delivers results. Inconsistent treatment can lead to further thinning around transplanted hair, which makes a revision procedure look like an option.
Note on this story: the quoted words are published customer reviews on theuroots.com , used with permission. The month-by-month detail reflects what our doctors record at follow-up for men in Sonu's situation. No patient photographs are shown, and results shift with stage, cause and consistency.
Month 0 to month 6, Checkpoint by Checkpoint
Hair growth with any active treatment takes time. The results are not visible overnight; it takes consistency and disciplined care to maintain native hair from further shedding and also support the transplant.
Below is Sonu’s timeline from month 0 to month 6. The URoots team stayed connected throughout the journey to ensure optimal healing after the hair transplant and improve visible density by protecting native hair. A curated personalised plan was provided, and growth was monitored over six months.

Weeks 2 to 8: The Shedding Nobody Warns You About Properly
Androgenetic alopecia is a genetic disorder, and it is progressive. It may not affect the transplanted follicles, but it influences the surrounding native follicles. In weeks 2 to 8, men also lose hair around the transplanted area, not just from it. This is recipient-site effluvium (shock loss), and a 2026 review of follicular unit excision complications reported an incidence of 0.15% to 15%, occurring 2 to 8 weeks after surgery, with regrowth expected around month 3. That review lists topical minoxidil among the supportive measures used during this period.
The second reason is the medication rather than the surgery. Minoxidil alters the hair cycle by shortening the resting phase and prolonging the growth phase. As older hairs are shed before new growth begins, this can temporarily result in increased shedding.
Doctor's note: Two shedding events overlapping in the same six weeks is why month 2 feels worse than month 0. Both resolve. Neither means the plan failed.
Month 3: The First Signal Worth Trusting
Sonu's daily hair fall reduced by 8 weeks, but he still couldn’t see any difference in the mirror. This phase felt quiet because nothing looked different in the mirror. This is completely normal; the follicles are resting and preparing for new growth. Soon new hair will start to emerge. The evidence is specific about this window. It was hard to follow the regimen as no visible growth was apparent, but he kept going.
In the third month, small fine hair emerged from the scalp. Minoxidil's initial effects became apparent after roughly 8 weeks, with the maximum effect at about 4 months. The hair continued to grow, and density continued to grow, and density continued improve from this point forward.
Month 6: What Changed, and What Did Not
At month 6, around half of the final density is achieved. Topical actives have made a significant difference in hair texture, and growth feels healthy. The density he could part and style is achieved. What had not changed: the native follicles under the influence of DHT still remain vulnerable. Topical treatments can only work on viable follicles but cannot rebuild a follicle that is gone. Consistency with the treatment is important to obtain desired density and maintain it over time.

The Routine Behind these URoots Results
The transplant procedure produced hair in the areas where follicles were not viable, but URoots protects the native follicles from further shrinkage, keeping the scalp comfortable enough that he stayed consistent.
Sonu got his personalised Post Hair Transplant Kit , recommended by QHT doctors for a structured post-procedure routine. It contains six products to address genetic hair fall and support transplant results. The kit is designed to provide targeted follicle nourishment, improve scalp microcirculation, and supplements to support hair and scalp health from within.
Product
Price
Role
URoots Minoxidil 5% Solution for Men
Rs 699
The working topical minoxidil solution that helps improve scalp microcirculation, enhancing nutrient and oxygen supply to the hair follicles. It is reinforced by Procapil to strengthen hair anchorage, support scalp health and reduce hair fall. It is applied twice daily.
URoots Finasil Tablets IP 1mg
Rs 240
Prescription-only medication with 1 mg finasteride to target DHT directly and block its production by inhibiting the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme. It prevents follicle miniaturisation and further hair fall. Clinically proven treatment for androgenetic alopecia to be used under doctor guidance only.
URoots Hair Supplement
Rs 699
A nutraceutical supplement with Beta-sitosterol, vitamins, minerals and grape seed extract to support hair growth and scalp health from within.
URoots Shampoo with Aloe Vera
Rs 249
Sulfate-free, mild, gentle cleanser with aloe vera and a moisturising system that helps cleanse scalp without stripping natural oils, while making hair smooth and manageable. Safe to use alongside topical treatments.
URoots Hair Serum
Rs 1,199
Minoxidil-free night step for scalp nourishment with Procapil, Redensyl, and Kopexil to stimulate follicles, strengthen hair roots, reduce hair thinning and support hair growth. Used once daily.
Gemline D3
Rs 137
Vitamin D deficiency interferes with hair growth cycles. After an assessment of Vitamin D levels, supplementation with 60,000 IU vitamin D3 complements hair growth in androgenetic alopecia. It promotes transition of resting phase into growth phase, improving hair growth and visible hair density while complementing hair transplant results. Taken once weekly as recommended by the doctor.
Note: The shampoo, serum and supplement support the scalp environment. They do not act on pattern hair loss. Finasil is a prescription-based drug; do not self-prescribe; take it under a doctor’s guidance only. Women who are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or nursing must not take it or handle the tablets. Full sequencing sits in our guide to post-hair transplant medicine .
Why most people never get this far
One of the main reasons some people get better results from minoxidil than others is consistency. One study demonstrated this gap and reported that out of 400 patients, 86.3% stopped using the treatment and only 13.7% stayed on treatment. The results speak for themselves; the progress reflects the consistency. Application of minoxidil twice daily can make a visible difference in density compared to those who quit before it started working. Genetic hair fall does not wait for anyone, and treatment consistency is the only thing that saves the native hair. The cheapest step in the routine, which is often overlooked.
Another factor that can influence treatment response is an enzyme called sulfotransferase. Minoxidil gets converted to its active form, minoxidil sulfate, by an enzyme called sulfotransferase, which is present in hair follicles. People with low levels of this enzyme respond slowly and may not get the same results, as the drug fails to convert into its active form. Minoxidil may be ineffective in 40-50% of patients.
What Six Months Does Not Promise
Six months of consistency can deliver great results, but it cannot deliver miraculous transformations. Grafted hair is yours for good. The hair you were born with follows its own trajectory, and pattern hair loss keeps moving around the transplanted hair. When a follicle is completely gone and the area is smooth, topicals cannot revive it. In such cases, URoots products cannot automatically grow hair. Topical treatments only cater to live follicles. When topical treatment is insufficient, the focus of hair restoration may shift to a surgical approach.
6-month hair growth does not mean that the topical treatments can be stopped now. What Sonu achieved is the result of consistency. He still orders products from URoots and follows the hair care regimen. The gains from minoxidil reverse once the treatment is stopped.

Are URoots results real, or just reviews?
Both, read carefully. The published URoots review results describe men following a doctor-prescribed routine, mostly after a transplant at QHT. What they credit is consistency across months, not one bottle. Results vary with stage, cause and adherence.
How long before I see real minoxidil results in India?
Roughly 8 weeks for the first measurable change, with the maximum effect at about 4 months. Heat, sweat and hard water affect comfort and adherence rather than the drug itself. Assess the results at month 6, with final transplant results typically evaluated around month 12.
Why did my hair fall out after starting treatment?
There can be two overlapping reasons in the early weeks: shedding around the transplanted area, and the cycle shift minoxidil itself triggers. Both are documented, both settle, and both peak at the point people abandon the routine.
What happens if I stop at month 6?
The benefits of treatment stop with it. Gains from topical treatment hold while you keep using it, so stopping returns your follicles to their own timeline. Decide that before you start, not at month 8.
Do I need a transplant to use these products?
No. Most of this routine is prescribed for pattern hair loss with no surgery involved. Your stage decides your plan. This kit can be used to maintain your native hair and address genetic hair loss.
